You built a robot arm to deliver a phone 8 inches. That is not a company, that is a desk toy with a charger attached.

The roast

This is a novelty, not a business. The pitch is basically: "A phone charger with a retractable arm that hands your phone to you when it’s done charging." That is a clever demo and a weak reason to buy. People already know where their phone is at night: on the nightstand, the floor, or in the bed. The pain is tiny, the fix is expensive, and the value is mostly a smile. Your own setup makes the problem worse. You are a solo founder, you are in hardware, you have no funding, and your biggest unknown is whether you can build it. That is the worst possible combo for a consumer gadget with budget pricing and one-time revenue. Even if you can build it, you still have to manufacture it, ship it, support it, and convince people this is more than a gag gift. The market is also ugly. General consumers do not buy weird hardware because it is “product-led.” They buy because it is obvious, urgent, and easy to trust. This has none of that. It competes with cheap chargers, MagSafe stands, alarm clocks, and bedside organizers, all of which already solve the real job without a moving arm that can break, jam, or freak people out.
