PyroSense AI sells fire prediction to industries that will only pay once someone proves it works, and nobody has proven that yet.

AI roast score: 48/100 (F)

The idea

PyroSense AI will predict fires before they happen using lab combustion data. Oil majors will gladly buy it once it works. Right now the founders' own biggest question is whether it works at all.

The roast

Your biggest question is "Can we reliably transform experimental combustion data into a validated, real-world early-warning solution". That is not a side risk. It is the whole company. Lab combustion data is clean and controlled. A refinery or a mine is hot, dusty, noisy and full of drifting sensors. Models trained on the first often fail in the second. You also want premium prices from oil and gas, mining and government buyers, with deals of roughly EGP 500,000 to EGP 5,000,000 a year (assumed rate: about EGP 50 per USD). Those buyers already run certified gas detectors and fire systems from Honeywell and Siemens. A safety manager who gets a false alarm loses trust. One who gets a missed alarm loses a job, or worse. They will not buy an unproven AI for that. Your plan is sales-led, with your funding coming from grants. Egyptian enterprise and government sales cycles often take 9 to 18 months. Grants run out faster than that. Your team is four people with "roles still to be finalized", and nobody on it is named as a process-safety engineer. That is the credibility gap buyers will see first.

Red flags

Verdict

Get one refinery, mine or factory to let you run sensors beside their existing system for free, and prove your predictions beat it before you pitch anything else.
